Masco

X-Ray Telescope Data Acquisition System

MASCO (Coded Mask) was developed by INPE's Astrophysics division, high-energy line, to image the sky in hard X-rays and gamma rays (50 keV to 1.8 MeV) at ~14 arcminutes angular resolution, using the MURA coded-mask technique and a position-sensitive sodium iodide (NaI(Tl)) detector. It flew on a stratospheric balloon at 40 km altitude, launched from Nova Ponte (Minas Gerais, Brazil).

Propertech developed the memory bank data acquisition electronics and the flight software.

SolarT

System / Telescope for measuring solar radiation in the TeraHertz frequency spectrum

Solar-T is a radiometer for 3 and 7 THz, with onboard data storage and transmission via Iridium telemetry, developed by CRAAM (Mackenzie University) to fly coupled to GRIPS (Gamma-Ray Imager/Polarimeter for Solar Flares) from UC Berkeley, during the 2016 mission over the Antarctic polar circle (12 days at 40 km altitude).

Propertech developed the mission's data acquisition and control in Brazil via Iridium telemetry, and also conducted all the test plans for the Solar-T assembly.

HATS

High Altitude TeraHz Solar Telescope

Robotic solar THz telescope from CRAAM (Mackenzie University), with a 457 mm mirror and a Golay cell sensor capturing two channels (850 GHz and 1.4 THz), fully automatic solar tracking and calibration, and a retractable dome commanded by a weather station.

Data acquisition and system control are developed in Brazil by Propertech.
